Welcome to No Dip Musik, the source where I, Robyn, post my fave choons in mp3 form for you to experience!
Everyone loves music, and I am no exception, only not everybody goes ahead and acts crazy in their aim to share all the goodness. This is my outlet where I let go and spread the love I have for music, allowing others to sample what I'm feeling.
My passion lives within the earlier years of contemporary urban music, particularly that of New Jack Swing, Hip Hop Soul etc. but I still consider myself pretty eclectic when it comes the stuff overall. This place will no doubt be based in urban routes, but I will still regularly throw in anything I do consider to be quality shiz, regardless of the genre!
All songs will be of CD quality unless otherwise stated (I know that's how I like it, so that's how I'll deliver). Plus 90% of the tunes I'll post on here will be ripped from my own collection so I can pretty much guarantee you the hottness in that sense!

I don't post full albums.. I say this because I feel that these should be purchased in order to support the artist. It may seem like a waste of money to some but I'm a broke-ass student and that's what I do regardless. I simply offer artist samples in order to promote what I feel is worth your £.
Yes, I will do requests.. Just leave a message on the tag-board and if a) I can get hold of the song of acceptable quality and b) I am also feeling it I'll post it on here. However, no full album requests please, only ask for individual songs etc. Other than that, I will try my best to sort it.
I credit others, so credit me.. If you use one of my links or files on your site please credit my hard work. I'd do the same for you!
Well, Summer is finally here at long last.. I cannot believe it's July tomorrow already! Anyway, the arrival of this season can only mean it's time to throw some old shit onto my CD player to celebrate. New Jack is where it's at when the sun shows an appearance because it's hott, fun and straight "fonk-aaaay"!
Everyone needs to be aware of this transitional period in urban music around the late 80's and early 90's - it's essential listening. This is the era when hip hop beats hit up the smooth R&B lyrics and created the formula so evident in popular urban music today.
New Jack Swing is my shit so I demandevery single person downloads these! Hehe!
Seriously though.. you can't be ignorant to these.. they just too damn classic.
Oh how funny a name is that.. I love the name Papoose for a rapper, it proper makes me giggle for some odd reason. The above picture was taken in the end of May, my mate and I were on holiday on the south coast of the UK, turned the corner on one street and saw this. It caused us both to scream the caption quoted and start rolling all over the street.
People must have thought we was smoking some crazy shit, we were in such a state.
Anyway, my point of this entry was to post some ish featuring Papoose. Obviously the 'Touch It' remix and I'll also throw in the new single by Joe and make this a double. Both songs are pretty tight, but I still feel the chorus in each are actually their weakest elements, when they needn't be if maybe worked on a little more.
Now time for some new stuff which may (or may not) be hitting the charts soon - yay!
I am really feeling the new one by Sean Paul featuring Keyshia Cole. Even if the girl does allegedly blast other female artists when maybe it's not her place, I do like her vibe on the music-tip. The others here are all very cool too, all 4 star+ ratings from me - download 'em all! (Check out Sinternet too.)
My first request, and I've fulfilled it especially for Kylan. (And it's 128kbps CD quality without any distortion btw, which sounds fine to me). It's one by Ashlee Simpson which is decent enough. I prefer her to her sister at any rate.. LOL. Well, what can I say, I always felt such sympathy for Nick Lachey, he's lucky he got away - Jessica got on my last nerve!
Although my family lives in the UK, I go to college in Canada and just as I was about to come home for the summer this song was in the process of blowing the shit up big-time.
Although, here in Britain, I haven't even heard a murmer of the song..! What the hey?!
I really rate this, despite it being a little too well-crafted for the pop market than maybe I'd like. Mike Shinoda (of Linkin Park fame) did his thing well on the hip hop tip when he branched out and developed the Fort Minor project on the side. Jay Z is executive producer of the album from which this comes from, The Rising Tied, and trust me, it's so damn solid, and attacks some interesting social issues without being overly preachy or forceful. I'm considering it as one of my top 3 hip hop albums of 2006 in fact.
This is the 3rd single taken from the album and probably the most pop-infused one of the lot (the rest are far grittier). Hard-hitting stuff though. Download it and watch the video. The people you see featured are real and those are real stories.
I'm not a new-comer to this, I've been blogging on a pretty much daily basis online for a little over 3 years now through various other places. I've always been ranting about music, posting the odd mp3 on occasion and regularly visiting sites where others did the same, and now I feel it's about time that I join in and contribute a little myself with my own designated mp3 blog. Here I'll post music I feel is worth a good listen, mainly (but definitely not limited to) urban stuff, and try to be at least semi-entertaining with my comments in the process.
This is my first time on blogdrive so you'll have to be patient while I get used to it though!
Anyway, this is my first post, just wanted to get the shizzz off and rolling before I post some actual music later on. Prepare yourself now, this could be pretty (*cough*traumatic*cough*) interesting!!!
